1. Dell XPS Desktop (2023)
For good reason, we referred to the Dell XPS Desktop (8960) as a “famous gaming PC disguised as an office cog.” Even while Dell doesn’t specifically market the XPS series as gaming hardware, it has seen a significant increase in specifications in recent years, making it a competitive rival to the most fully equipped gaming and content production PCs at their maximum configurations.
And it accomplishes that without taking off its business clothes, which we think is a bit of a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it blends in perfectly with almost any environment thanks to its simple form. However, at this time, it has become drab, uninteresting, and rather outdated.
The best setups, however, were able to manage almost any job, regardless of how demanding, if you’re looking for anything for gaming and content production. Using our set of benchmarks, it was able to compete with the more potent Alienware Aurora R15, which was powered by the RTX 4090, at 1080p and to match the Lenovo Legion Tower 7i in both 1080p and 4K gaming. Furthermore, under strain, it remains remarkably silent and cool.

2. Acer Aspire TC
The Acer Aspire TC has not yet been thoroughly reviewed by us. However, if you’re seeking to save money on your new PC or if all you need is something to surf, write emails, do your homework, and stream on, we can already guarantee that it will provide you the best price-to-performance ratio.
Although there aren’t many interesting graphical options, the specs should be sufficient for daily tasks and possibly some light gaming. Additionally, it has more than enough connectors for the majority of users, including two HDMI ports that allow you to connect two displays if you so desire.
It’s true that the design could be improved. Though it is quite plain Jane, it isn’t particularly ugly, which shouldn’t matter if usefulness is more important to you than appearance. Its cooling is the one feature that can turn people off a little bit; when the hardware is overworked, those fans have a tendency to become noisy.

3. Apple Mac Mini M4 (2024)
The new Mac mini (M4, 2024) combines performance and cost in a smaller, redesigned shell, bringing the potent M4 and M4 Pro CPUs to Apple’s small desktop lineup. The iPad Pro was the first device to have Apple’s M4 chip, but macOS now lets the chip reach its full potential. With a starting price of $599, the Mac mini is the most reasonably priced device in the Mac ecosystem. Its small size allows for flexible positioning.
In addition to having twice as much unified memory as its predecessor (16GB), the new Mac mini is built to easily perform tasks ranging from sophisticated creative work to gaming. The M4 model handled demanding activities like video editing with silent efficiency during testing, running the most recent version of macOS Sequoia without any issues. Although a more potent M4 Pro model costs $1,399, most customers are advised to utilize the ordinary M4 model due to its remarkable performance.
Furthermore, the Mac mini’s small design with front USB-C connections makes it a more appealing living room device and might be Apple’s closest thing to a game console. This version surpasses Windows and Linux alternatives in terms of build quality, performance, and cost, further solidifying the Mac mini’s worth and setting a high bar for tiny form factor PCs. Apple has produced a powerful and reasonably priced desktop computer that is probably going to be the best in its class for years to come.

4. Apple iMac 24-inch (M4)
With significant improvements, the 2024 iMac carries on Apple’s legacy of producing high-quality all-in-one computers. At a lower starting price of $1,299, it comes with the latest M4 CPU, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage, providing better performance and value than its predecessor.
The 24-inch iMac still has the same physical form as earlier generations, but it now comes in six vivid colors: purple, blue, green, orange, yellow, and silver. It now has USB-C connections and peripherals that match in color. The Magic Mouse still has its bottom charging port, though, and Apple did not change it.
In terms of performance, the M4 processor is a major improvement over the M1 and M3, allowing for seamless multitasking and quick program loading, which makes the iMac perfect for a range of creative and professional work. You’re always in the picture during video conversations thanks to the new FaceTime camera’s higher megapixels and Center Stage tracking. Furthermore, the optional nano-texture glass lessens reflections, which is a helpful feature for spaces with difficult lighting.
The 2024 iMac offers a cutting-edge, smooth experience straight out of the box thanks to macOS Sequoia and early Apple Intelligence technologies. Owners of older models will see significant gains, but upgrading from an M1 or M3 iMac might not be necessary unless you need more power.

5. Lenovo Legion Tower 5i (2023)
The Lenovo Legion Tower 5i comes in a limited number of configurations, and not all of them are accessible at one location. For instance, as of this writing, our review unit is exclusively available at Best Buy in the United States. It is worthwhile to look for, though, particularly if you’re searching for a gaming PC that is within your budget. This mid-range choice is reasonably priced and provides excellent 1080p performance.
When we played Cyberpunk 2077, which is a tough game, it achieved over 70 frames per second on Ultra settings, which is really good. It also performed admirably when we ran Far Cry 6 and Gotham Knights on high settings.
Of course, it has its limits as a mid-range gaming PC. On maximum settings, Control and Hogwarts Legacy both had some issues. After all, our review model only had an RTX 3060, making it your best option if you’re on a tight budget.
It’s a terrific deal, though, if you’re prepared to forgo ray tracing and play select games at medium graphical settings. This is particularly true if you value having a sophisticated design and eye-catching RGB lighting.
Because desktop PCs come in so many varieties, choosing the right one can be difficult. We examine all varieties, weighing factors like price and performance against those of other PCs in their class.
Cheap doesn’t always imply terrible, therefore low-cost PCs should be examined with the same rigor as high-end systems. In every situation, we weigh the PC’s performance against the typical cost of a product in that class.
This implies that a PC under $500, £500, or $800 won’t be as powerful as the top gaming PC, but if it surpasses our standards, it’s a good contender for our list. We’re not inclined to suggest a PC with best-in-class performance that costs three times as much as it should since you can get a much better deal for a little worse computer.
What is the ideal computer configuration?
The purpose of your computer will determine the optimal setup. In order to achieve the best possible computer configuration, you must pay close attention to the CPU, GPU, hard drive and SSDs, and RAM in your tower.
You won’t need a powerful CPU or GPU if you use your desktop computer for routine chores; a regular SSD and RAM will work perfectly. However, in order to support high-resolution gaming, gaming PC towers will require those powerful CPUs and GPUs in addition to a large amount of hard drive and SSD storage.
Which brand of pc is the best?
The functioning and purpose of your computer determine which brand is best for you. If you enjoy Windows operating systems, Dell and Lenovo are excellent daily PCs. However, if you can afford their high price, Apple also makes excellent desktop computers.
However, if you’re searching for the best gaming PC, you should consider companies like MSI, Corsair, or even Alienware, which is a Dell brand that focuses on gaming.
The greatest computer brand for you will ultimately rely on what you want your PC to do. Many different manufacturers have the best PCs that are both high-quality and reasonably priced.
